Interacción de los organismos vivos con la radiación no ionizante

Estudio de la interacción de los sistemas vivos con la radiación no ionizante, principalmente a partir de caracterización eléctrica de modelos biológicos alternativos, como el embrión del pez cebra (Danio rerio) o algunas levaduras (Sacc. cerevisiae),  expuestos a este agente físico. Dicha caracterización aporta valiosa información sobre su capacidad para almacenar o disipar la energía y permite entender, mediante la estimación de la dosis recibida, los posibles efectos de la exposición a este agente físico. 
Además, la información eléctrica resultante del proceso de caracterización, intrínsecamente relacionada con la morfología y estado fisiológico de los organismos, es a la vez una importante herramienta con aplicación práctica en procesos de diagnóstico dentro de múltiples disciplinas.
